Deed Gift to Mary Jane Short
Received and filed for record on 18th October A.D. 1847

This indenture made the seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between Gilbert Buie of the county of Jefferson and state of Mississippi of the one part and Mary Jane Short the daughter of the before named Gilbert Buie, for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has and bears unto the said Mary Jane Short his daughter and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Mary Jane Short at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have given and granted, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed. And by these presents do give grant, alien, enfeoff and confirm unto the said Mary Jane Short her bodily heirs and assigns a certain NEGRO GIRL named JUDE, aged about ten years old. Deed of Gift to Joseph P. Buie
Received and filed for record 18th day of October A.D. 1847

This indenture made the seventeenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven, between Gilbert Buie of the county of Jefferson and state of Mississippi of the one part and Joseph P. Buie, son of the before named Gilbert Buie of the other part, witnesseth, that the said Gilbert Buie for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has and bears unto the said Joseph P. Buie, his son, and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand and by the said Joseph P. Buie, at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the reciept, whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, aliened, enfeoffed, and confirmed and by these presents do give, grant, alien, enfeoff, and confirm unto the said Joseph P. Buie, his heirs and assigns a certain NEGRO BOY named SAM, aged about sixteen years old. Deed Gift to Emily K. Buie
Received and filed for record 18th October A.D. 1847

This indenture made the seventeenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between Gilbert Buie of the county of Jefferson and the state of Mississippi of the one part and Emily K. Buie the daughter of the before named Gilbert Buie of the other witnesseth. That the said Gilbert Buie for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he has and bears unto the said Emily K. Buie, his daughter and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the sais Emily K. Buie at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledgement have given, granted, aliened, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these present do give, grant, alien, eneoff, and confirm unto the said Emily K. Buie, her bodily heirs and assigns a certain NEGRO GIRL named CHARLOTT, aged about eight years old. In testimony whereof the said Gilbert Buie hath hereunto sat his hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed, sealed and delivered in presence of us,

Deed Gift to Ann Cunningham
Received for record the 22nd day of February A.D. 1836

To all people to whom these present come, I Gilbert Buie, Sr. of the county Jefferson send greeting. Know ye that I the said Gilbert Buie for in consideration of the natural love and affection which I have and bear unto my beloved daughter Ann of the county of Jefferson and for divers other good causes and considerations hereunto moving have given and by these present do give and grant unto the said Ann Cunningham a certain NEGRO GIRL named WINNEY to her and her bodily heirs to have and enjoy the said Negro girl aforesaid unto the said Ann Cunningham, her executors, administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of her the said Ann Cunningham, her executors, administrators and assigns forever, and I the said Gilbert Buie all and singular the afore said Negro girl to the said Ann Cunningham, her executors and administrators and assigns against all persons whatsoever do warrant and forever defend by these present. In witness whereof I hereunto do set my hand and seal April 18, 1835.

Deed Gift to Ann C. Buie
Received and filed for record 11th day of April 1848

This indenture made the twenty fifth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight between Gilbert Buie and Katherine his wife of the one part and Ann Cunningham, their daughter, of the other part witnesseth that the said Gilbert Buie and Katherine his wife for and in consideration of the natural love and affection they have and bear unto their said Ann Cunningham, their daughter and also for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid by the said Ann Cunningham, their daughter at or before the sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof is hereof acknowledged have given, granted, aliened, and confirmed unto the said Ann Cunningham, their daughter a NEGRO GIRL named LYDIA, about twelve years of age unto her the said Ann Cunningham and the heirs of her body to have and posses forever in testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hand and seal the day and date above named.
