Royalties
The royalties began in 1715 when the Chisholm Clan served under the Earl Of Mar. Then in 1745, the Chief with his Clan joined the Prince Charles at the Battle of Culloden. After the battle the prince was found wondering by a Chisholm who was one of several men who sheltered him in Glenmoriston and helped him across the country to Arisaig. This brave and gallant Chisholm dies in 1887.
The only Scottish citizen in England at this time was Mary Stuart Queen of Scots. (There is further information on Queen Mary in the chapter, "The Fight With England".
