ABOUT EINAUGA
KINDRED
Einauga Kindred was founded on November 9th, 1999 by two Heathens in the Baltimore metropolitan area. They have grown to eight members since. We gather together semi-regularly and celebrate the major holy days of the year. The word Einauga comes from the two Old High German (Common Germanic) words Ein - One, and Auga - Eye (trust us... it sounds better in OHG than in Old English). The word refers to the god Wóden, who pledged one of his eyes to the eoten Meomor in exchange for knowledge of all that has come to pass (Wyrd). With one eye Wóden looks at that which is, and the other he gazes upon that which is becoming (Werđende) and that which should be (Scyld). Einauga Kindred also strives towards this goal: to know our roots, and to chart not only our own futures but also that of Heathenism. Click here to have a look at our Kindred's banner. MEMBERS
