Story Of The Drifters

Johnny Ringo, a slow poke kind of guy, was washing down range dust with a shot of whiskey, when he eyed his good friend Reno Nevada Smith entering in the saloon. “Hello, Reno long time no see. I thought you cashed in your chips the last show down we had. Sit down and I’ll buy you a drink, so what’s you’ve been up to?” Well after the show down I had to lay low. I met a pretty gal named Mae Bea and we got married in my home town of Reno.” Said Reno. “Wow, looks like you’ve been busy congrads, hope I get to meet her.” The two men talked about the times they road together before Reno got shot. Like the times they fought off Rustlers and Horse Thieves. Or even about the enemies that had come and gone. Each friend had their own way of distracting their enemies. Like Johnny would twirl his gun before he would shoot and Reno seemed to have a wild look in his eye that would draw his opponent off guard and then he would get one up on the draw. Johnny and Reno spent hours in that saloon talkin about the old days. Meanwhile Mae Bea was in the Hotel parlor waiting for Reno to return. Finally Reno returned with his good friend Johnny and they all had dinner. Mae Bea listen to the two of them talk about more of the past and what the two of them experienced. The two men longed to ride together again and may even get a chance to. Since Reno and Mae Bea were still looking for a town to settle down in, they invited Johnny to come along. Johnny didn’t have to think about it long, it would be just like old times and he jumped at the chance to ride with Reno again. Besides he had just finished a job and had no plans now anyways. Mae Bea was delighted with the news, oh the stories she could tell her children and grandchildren. But none of them knows what lies ahead.
