Frantisek SUGAREK.
Born on 28 Jan 1819 in 42, Hajov, Novy Jicin, Czech. Immigrated on 5 Aug 1856 to Arrived at Galveston. Made a purchase
in 1859 in Sandy Creek, Content, Colorado Co.,TX. Made a purchase on 24 Oct 1862. Frantisek died in Content, Colorado
Co.,Texas on 3 Jun 1863, he was 44.
Buried in Weimar Masonic Cemetery, Weimar, Colorado, Texas. ??? (Not sure of this)
Frank
was killed by a neighbor during the time of the Civil War. The problem arose over Frank's dog being
accused killing the neighbor's sheep. Thadius Hunter went to Frank's house and threatened to shoot the
dog. There was already bad blood
between the two men. Hunter supposedly
had threatened Frank on previous occassions. Frank apparently got out
his gun to protect his dog and was shot
dead. Hunter was indicted in November
3, 1863, went to trial after a series of delays lasting 3 years but never was prosecuted for the killing. On October
29, 1866, he entered a plea of not guilty
and was discharged. Thadius Hunter was a Confederate Army Captain.

abt 1858 when Frantisek was 38, he third
married Barbara SIMICEK, daughter of Josef SIMICEK & Barbara LICHNOVSKY. Born on 30 Nov 1831 in
36, Hajov, Novy Jicin, Czech. Barbara died in Content,Colorado
Co.,TX on 6 Sep 1920, she was 88.
They had
