Materials: BEST Six CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Size 30: Small Ball: 4 balls

Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 or 11.

Doily measures about 9 inches in diameter.

Ch 10. Join with sl st.

1st rnd: Ch 3, make 23 dc in ring. Sl st in top st of ch-3.

2nd rnd: Ch 8, * skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 5. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 5, sl st in 3rd st of ch-8.

3rd rnd: Sl st in next 2 ch, sc in sp, ch 8, * dc in next sp, ch 5. Repeat from * around. Join as before.

4th rnd: Ch 3, * 7 dc in sp, dc in dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

5th rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, dc in next 14 dc, * ch 5, skip 1 dc, dc in next 15 dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

6th rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, * dc in each dc to last dc of this group - do not work in last dc - ch 5, sc in next loop, ch 5, skip next dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

7th rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, * dc in each dc to last dc of this group - do not work in last dc - (ch 5, sc in next loop) twice; ch 5, skip next dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

8th to 11th rnds incl: Work as for previous rnd, having 1 more loop between dc-groups on each rnd.

12th rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 8, * sc in next loop, (ch 5, sc in next loop) 6 times; ch 5, skip 1 dc, dc in next dc, ch 5. Repeat from * around. Join.

13th rnd: Sl st in next 3 ch, ch 8, * dc in next loop, ch 5. Repeat from * around. Join.

14th rnd: Ch 3, * 5 dc in sp, dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

15th rnd: Sc in same place as sl st, * ch 7, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3, tr in 1st sc.

16th to 19th rnds incl: * Ch 7, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 3, tr in tr.

20th rnd: Repeat 19th rnd, making ch-8 (instead of ch-7) loops and ending with ch 4, tr in tr.

21st rnd: Same as previous rnd, making ch-9 loops and ending with ch 4, d tr in tr.

22nd rnd: Make ch-10 loops around, ending with ch 5, d tr in d tr.

23rd rnd: Make ch-11 loops around, ending with ch. 11, sl st in d tr. Break off.
