Steel Crochet Hook No. 11 or 12.

Ch 7, join, ch 3, 14 d c into ring.

2nd Row-Ch 5, skip 1 d c, s c in next d c, repeat from beginning all around.

3rd Row-Sl st into loop * ch 7, s c into next loop, repeat from * all around.

4th Row-Sl st into loop, ch 3, * 4 d c over loop, slip st off hook, insert in 1st d c made and pull loop through (this is termed a popcorn st). Ch 3, work another popcorn st of 4 d c, ch 7, repeat from * all around.

5th Row-Sl st between 2 popcorn sts and work a popcorn st in same space, * ch 7, s c over next loop, ch 7, popcorn st between next 2 popcorn sts and repeat from " all around joining row in popcorn st.

6th Row-Sl st to center of loop, * ch 9, s c over next loop, repeat from * all around.

7th Row-Ch 1 and work 11 sc over each loop, join.

8th Row-Ch 5, * skip 3 s c, d c in next s c, ch 2, skip 2 s c, d c in next s c, ch 2, d c between scallops, ch 2 and repeat from * all around.

9th Row-Sl st into loop, * ch 5, s c into next loop, repeat from * all around, ending last loop in 1st loop (42 loops).

10th Row-Ch 3 and work popcorn st in same loop, * ch 5, s c in next loop, repeat from * 4 times s* ch 5 and work a popcorn st in next st, work five 5 ch loops and repeat from ** all around. Join row in popcorn st.

11th Row-Ch 3, popcorn st in next loop, * four, 5 ch loops, ch 5, popcorn st in next loop, ch 5, popcorn st in next loop and repeat from *.

12th Row-Sl st in loop, popcorn st in same loop, * three 5 ch loops, ch 5, popcorn st in next loop, ch 5, s c in next loop, ch 5, popcorn st in next loop and repeat from * all around.

Work 4 more rows having 1 less loop between popcorn sts in first group of meshes and one more loop between popcorn sts in next group of meshes and working 6 ch meshes in the 3rd row and 7 ch meshes in the 4th row.

17th Row-Work 7 s c over each mesh, join.

18th Row-Ch 9, s c between scallops, repeat all around.

19th Row-Sl st into center of next loop, ** ch 2, tr c in next loop, * ch 2, tr c in same loop repeat from * 3 times, ch 2, s c into next loop and repeat from ** all around ending with s c over last sl st.

20th Row-Ch 1, d c in tr c, * ch 1, d c in mesh, ch 1, d c in tr c, repeat from * 3 times, ch 1, s c in s c and repeat from beginning all around.
