Each Motif measures about 6 inches.

A cloth 60 x 78 inches requires 130 motifs arranged 10 x 18.

No. 13 Steel Crochet Hook.

Work tightly for best results.

Row 1: Starting at A on Chart, sk 8 ch, dc in next 4 ch, (ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in next 4 ch) 6 times, ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in next 22 ch (7 blks), (ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in next 4 ch)7 times, ch 2, sk 2 eh, dc in next (end) ch. Mark right side of this Row 1 as right side of motif.

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, 2 dc in 1st sp, dc in next dc (1 blk), ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in next 4 dc (2 sps and 1 blk), (ch 2, dc in next 4 dc) 5 times, 2 dc in next sp, de in next 4 dc, ch 3, sk 2 dc, sc n next dc, ch 3, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc (Lacet St), ch 2, sk 2 dc, dc in next dc, complete row with 1 Lacet St, 3 blks, (1 sp, 1 blk) 5 times, 2 sps and 1 blk.

Row 3: Ch 5, turn, sk 3 dc, dc in next dc, 2 sps, (1 blk, 1 sp) 4 times, 3 blks, 1 Lacet St, ch 5, dc in next dc (long sp), 1 sp, 1 long sp, 1 Lacet St, 3 blks, (1 sp, 1 blk) 4 times and 3 sps. Continue, following Chart, being careful to start Row 8 at B in all motifs. After finishing final Row 37, cut leaving 30" sewing end.

Make motifs for desired size cloth. Arrange with Rose design in same position in all motifs.

Working on wrong side, keeping motifs flat, side-by-side, and using sewing ends, sew motifs together into strips, then sew strips together exactly matching rows and corners.

EDGE: Attach thread to one corner sp, in same sp make (2 sc, ch 4, sl st in last sc for a p) 3 times and 1 more sc; * (4 sc in next blk, 2 sc in next sp, 4 sc in next blk, in next sp make 1 sc, p, 1 sc) 8 times, 4 sc in next blk, 2 sc in next sp, 4 sc in next blk, 3 sc in next sp, a p, sk joining of motifs, 3 sc in next sp; repeat from * around, making each corner like first one. Join and fasten off.

Stretch and pin tablecloth right-side-down in true shape. Steam thru a doubled wet cloth then press thru a doubled dry cloth.
