Small Ball: 104 balls of White or Ecru, or 140 balls of any color, or

Large Ball: 32 balls of White or Ecru.

Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.

Tablecloth measures 60 x 80 inches.

GAUGE: Each motif measures 4 inches in diameter.

FIRST MOTIF . . . Starting at center, ch 12. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: Ch 4, 31 tr in ring. Join.

2nd rnd: Ch 5, * tr in next tr, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join to 4th ch of ch-5.

3rd rnd: Sl st in next sp, sc in same sp, * ch 5, sc in next sp. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 2, dc in first sc.

4th rnd: * Ch 4, holding back on hook the last loop of each tr, make 4 tr in next loop, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (cluster made), ch 7, sl st in tip of cluster, ch 4, sc in next loop. Repeat from * around. Join.

5th rnd: Sl st in next 4 ch, sl st in next loop, ch 4, in same loop make 5 tr, ch 5 and 6 tr; * ch 2, sc in next loop, ch 2, in next loop make 6 tr, ch 5 and 6 tr. Repeat from * around. Join.

6th rnd: Ch 5, * (tr in next tr, ch 1) 5 times; in next sp make (tr, ch 1) 4 times; (tr in next tr, ch 1) 5 times; tr in next 2 tr, ch 1. Repeat from * around, ending with tr in last tr. Join to 4th ch of ch-5.

7th rnd: (Sl st in next sp and in next tr) twice; sl st in next sp, sc in same place as last sl st, * (ch 4, sc in next sp) 10 times; ch 5, skip 4 sps, sc in next sp. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

SECOND MOTIF . . . Work as for First Motif until 6 rnds are completed.

7th rnd: (Sl st in next sp and next tr) twice; sl st in next sp, sc in same place as last sl st, o (ch 4, sc in next sp) 4 times: (ch 2, sl st in corresponding loop on First Motif, ch 2, sc in next sp on Second Motif) twice; (ch 4, sc in next sp) 4 times; ch 5, skip 4 sps, sc in next sp. Repeat from * once more. Complete rnd as for First Motif (no more joinings).

Make 15 rows of 20 motifs, joining adjacent sides as Second Motif was joined to First Motif.

FILL-IN-MOTIF . . . Work as for First Motif until 2 rnds are completed.

3rd rnd: Sl st in next sp, sc in same sp, (ch 4, sc in next sp) 5 times; ch 2, skip 3 loops following any joining, sl st in next loop, ch 2, sc in next sp on Fill-in-Motif, * ch 4, sc in next sp, ch 2, sl st in next ch-4 loop on same motif, ch 2, sc in next sp on Fill-in-Motif, (ch 4, sc in next sp) 5 times; ch 2, skip 3 loops following joining on next motif, sl st in next loop, ch 2, sc in next sp on Fill-in-Motif. Repeat from * around. Join and break off. Fill in all sps between motifs the same way.
