Steel Crochet Hook No. 10

Starting at bottom of chart, make a chain 18 inches long (15 ch sts to 1 inch). (I think this works out as 226 chs)

1st row: DC in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across until there are 223 dc, counting turning ch as 1 dc. Cut off remaining chain. Ch 3, turn.

2nd row: Dc in next 3 dc (1 bl made); ch 2, skip 2 dc, dc in next dc (a sp made). Make 3 more sps, then dc in next 18 dc (6 bls made). Make (1 sp, 1 bl) twice; 1 sp, 6 bls, 6 sps, 6 bls, 1 sp, 1 bl, 2 sps, 1 bl, 1 sp, 6 bls, 6 sps, 6 bls, (1 sp, 1 bl) twice; 1 sp, 6 bls, 4 sps; then work dc in next 2 dc, dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3, turn.

3rd row; Dc in next 3 dc, ch 2, dc in next dc (sp made over sp); 2 dc in next sp, dc in next dc (bl made over sp).
