FIRST MOTIF Starting at center, ch 8.

Join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: Ch 5, in ring make (tr, ch 1) 15 times, loin to 4th ch of ch-5.

2nd rnd: Ch 5, * skip next tr, 9 tr in next tr, ch 1, skip next tr, tr in next tr, ch 1. Repeat from * around, ending with skip next tr, 9 tr in next tr, ch 1. Join as before.

3rd rnd: Ch 3, dc in next sp, * dc in next tr, ch 3, dc in next tr, (ch 1, dc in next tr) 6 times; ch 3, (dc in next tr and in following sp) twice. Repeat from * around, ending with dc in next tr and in last sp. Join to top of ch-3.

4th rnd: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc and in following sp; * (ch 3, sc in next dc) 7 times; ch 3, dc in next sp, dc in next 5 dc and in following sp. Repeat from * around, ending with dc in last 2 dc. Join.

5th rnd: Sl st in next dc, ch 3, dc in next 2 dc and in following sp; * (ch 3, sc in next loop) 6 times; ch 3, dc in next sp and in next 3 dc; ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next 3 dc and in following sp. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 1. Join.
