FIRST MOTIF: 1st rnd: Starting at center, ch 4, dc in 4th ch from hook, (ch 3, dc in last dc made) 7 times; sl st in first ch of ch-4.

2nd rnd: Ch 3, 4 dc in same place as sl st, * ch 5, skip 1 dc, 5 dc in top of next dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

3rd rnd: Ch 3, dc in next dc, * 5 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, ch 5, skip 2 ch, d tr in next ch, ch 5, dc in next 2 dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

4th rnd: Sl st in next 3 dc, ch 3, dc in same place as last sl st, * dc in next dc, ch 3, sl st in last dc made (picot made), dc in same place as last dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 6, skip 4 ch, dc in next ch, in next d tr make 3 dc, a ch-4 picot and 2 dc; dc in next ch, ch 6, skip 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join and break off.

SECOND MOTIF: Work as for First Motif until 3 rnds have been completed.

4th rnd: Sl st in next 3 dc, ch 3, dc in same place as last sl st, in next dc make dc, a ch-3 picot and dc; 2 dc in next dc, ch 6, skip 4 ch, dc in next ch, in next d tr make 3 dc, ch 2, sl st in corresponding picot on First Motif, ch 2, sl st in last dc made on Second Motif, 2 dc in same d tr, dc in next ch, ch 6 and complete rnd as for First Motif, joining next 2 picots to corresponding picots on First Motif.

Make 36 rows of 36 motifs, joining adjacent sides as Second Motif was joined to First Motif, (where 4 corners meet, join 3rd and 4th corners to joining of previous 2 corners). Block to measurements.
