MATERIALS: Daisy Mercerized Crochet Cotton, Size 30.

Hero Steel Crochet Hook No. 12.

Motif measures about 6".

FIRST MOTIF: Ch 12, join with sl st to form ring.

Rnd 1: 16 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: Ch 4, holding back on hook the last lp of each tr, make 3 tr in 1st sc, thread over and thru all Ips on hook (cluster made), ch 5, * skip 1 sc, 4-tr cluster in next sc, ch 5, repeat from * around, sl st in top of 1st cluster.

Rnd 3: * 7 sc in next ch-5 sp, sc in top of next cluster, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 4: Ch 8, (to count as 1 dc and ch 5), * dc in 4th sc in 7-sc group of previous rnd, ch 5, dc in sc in top of cluster, ch 5, repeat from * around, end, dc in 4th sc of 7-sc group, ch 5, sl st in 3rd ch of ch-8.

Rnd 5: * 5 sc in ch-5 sp, sc in next dc, repeat from * around, join.

Rnd 6: Ch 4, make 3-tr cluster in joining, ch 7, a 4-tr cluster in same sp, * skip 5 sc, 4 tr cluster in next sc, ch 7, 4-tr cluster in same sp, repeat from * around, join 1st and last clusters with sl st.

Rnd 7: Ch 4, cluster in joined sp, ch 7, cluster in same sp, ch 3, * cluster in joined sp of next clusters of previous rnd, ch 7, cluster in same sp, ch 3, repeat from * around, join with sl st in top of 1st cluster.

Rnd 8: Sl st to center of ch-7, * ch 11, sl st in 5th ch from hook (picot), ch 2, tr in same st as rnd started, * ch 6, tr in 4th ch of ch-7 of previous rnd, ch 7, picot, ch 2, tr in same sp, repeat from * around, end, ch 6, sl st in 4th ch of ch-11. Break off.

SECOND MOTIF: Repeat rnd 1 thru 7 as 1st motif.

Rnd 8: Ch 11, picot in 5th ch from hook, ch 2, tr in same st, ch 6, * tr in center of ch-7 lp, ch 3, sl st in next picot of 1st motif, ch 3, tr in same st as last tr in 2nd motif, ch 6, repeat from * once (thus joining motifs at 2 picots), Continue around as rnd 8 for 1st motif.

Continue in this manner to join motifs until Cloth is desired size, having 2 free picots between joinings on each motif.

FILL-IN MOTIFS: Work rnd 1, 2 and 3 as 1st motif.

Rnd 4: Sl st to 4th sc of 7-sc group, * ch 7, sl st in free picot of 1st motif, ch 7, sc in center of next 7-sc group of small motif, ch 7, sl st in next free picot on 1st motif, ch 7, sc in center of 7-sc group on small motif, repeat from * around, joining small motif to remaining 3 motifs in same manner.
