Coats Mercer-Crochet No. 30 4 balls. This model is worked in shade (Yellow), but any other shade of

Mercer-Crochet may he used.

Milwards steel crochet hook No. 10.

Tension: 3 sps and 3 rows = 1 in. (approx.)

Measurements: 11 in. x 31 in. (approx.)

Ch-chain.

Sp - space = 3 ch, miss 3 ch or tr, tr into next ch or tr.

Blk - block = 5 tr, plus 4 tr for each additional bik in group.

Cross == Miss 2 sts, 1 tr into next st, 1 ch, inserting hook from behind last tr work 1 tr into first of 2 sts missed.

3 tr cluster = Leaving the last loop of each on hook work 3 tr into next st, thread over and draw through all loops on hook.

Cluster bar = 4 ch, a 2 tr cluster into 4th ch from hook.

Diamond cluster = A 3 tr cluster, (4 ch, a 2 tr cluster into 4th ch from hook) twice, a 3 tr cluster into same place as first 3 tr cluster.

Commence with 140 ch.

1st Row: 1 tr into 5th ch from hook, 1 tr into each of remaining ch (34 blks), 4 ch, turn.

2nd Row: Miss first tr, 1 tr into each of next 4 tr (blk made over blk), * 3 ch, miss 3 tr, 1 tr into next tr; repeat from * 31 times more (32 sps made over 32 blks), 1 tr into each of next 3 tr, 1 tr into top of turning ch, 4 ch, turn.

3rd Row: Miss first tr, 1 tr into each of next 4 tr, 3 ch, miss 3 ch, 1 tr into next tr (sp made over sp), * leaving the last loop of each on hook work 3 tr into next tr, thread over and draw through all loops on hook (a 3 tr cluster made), (4 ch, a 2 tr cluster into 4th ch from hook) twice, a 3 tr cluster into same place as last 3 tr cluster (a diamond cluster made), 1 tr into next tr; repeat from * 14 times more, 3 ch, miss 3 ch, 1 tr into each of next 4 tr, 1 tr into top of turning ch, 4 ch, turn.

4th Row: 1 blk, 1 sp, * 3 ch, 1 sc into centre ch of diamond, 3 ch, 1 tr into next tr; repeat from * 14 times more, 1 sp, 1 blk, 4 ch, turn.

5th Row: 1 blk, 1 sp, * a diamond cluster into next sc (a diamond cluster over diamond cluster), 1 tr into next tr, (3 ch, 1 tr into next sc, 3 ch, 1 tr into next tr) 13 times (26 sps made over diamond clusters), a diamond cluster into next sc, 1 tr into next tr, 1 sp, 1 blk, 4 ch, turn.

Now follow diagram from 6th row to top. Turn diagram and omitting last 2 rows follow diagram back to first row. Fasten off.

Damp and pin out to measurements.
