Materials Required - AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY "DE LUXE" MERCERIZED CROCHET COTTON.

1 Ball each of Yellow, Red and White will make all three pot holders.

Steel Crochet Hook Number 7.

1 Bone Ring for each.

POT HOLDER-No. 2135

With Red, work. 48 s c over ring, join.

2nd Row. Ch 3, (this counts as 1 d c) 1 d c in each of the next 11 s c, ch 2, 1 d c in each of the next 12 s c, ch 3, turn.

3rd Row. 11 d c, 2 d c in ch 2, ch 2, 2 d c in same ch, 1 d c in each remaining d c, ch 3, turn.

4th Row. 13 d c, 2 d c in ch 2, ch 2, 2 d c in same space, 1 d c in each remaining d c, break thread.

Attach Yellow, ch 3, turn, continue in same manner increasing 4 sts in each row and working in the following Color scheme. 2 rows Yellow, 2 rows White, 2 rows Yellow, 2 rows Red, 2 rows White, 2 rows Yellow, 2 rows Red.

The reverse side is made in one Color, working the 1st row of d c between the sts of first side.

Pin the 2 sections together and join with a row of s c working a picot after every 4th s c.

POT HOLDER - No. 2136

With Red, ch 6, join, ch 3, 2 d c in ring, * ch 3, 3 d c in ring, repeat from * 3 times. (5 sections.) Join each row.

2nd Row. Ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 2 d c, * 2 d c in loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, repeat from * all around, break thread.

3rd Row. With Yellow, ch 3, and work 1 d c in each d c and 2 d c, ch 3, 2 d c in each loop, break thread.

4th Row. This row is worked in Red and White carrying the Color not being used under the other Color.

Start with Red, ch 3, this counts as 1 d c, 1 d c in each of the next 8 d c, with White 1 d c in next d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3,. * 2 d c in same loop, 1 d c in next d c, change color, 1 d c in each ot the next 8 d c, with White, 1 d c in next d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, repeat from * all around.

5th Row. With Yellow, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 8 d c, with White, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, with Yellow, 1 d c in each of the next 8 d c, with White, 1 d c in each of the next 3 d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, repeat last section all around.

6th Row. With White, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, with Yellow, 1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, 1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, with White, 1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, with Yellow, 1 d c in each of the next 6 d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, repeat last section all around.

7th Row. With White, ch 3, 1 d c in each of the next 9 d c, with Red, 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, 2 d c in loop, ch 3, 2 d c in same loop, 1 d c in each of the next 5 d c, with White, 1 d c in each of the next 12 d c and repeat last section all around, break thread.

Work 1 row in Yellow, 1 row White, 1 row in Red working 1 d c in each d c and 2 d c, ch 3, 2 d c in each ch 3. Work a second section in same Color scheme or work it all one Color.

Pin the 2 sections together and join them with a row of s c working 3 d c over each loop. Finish with ring as illustrated.

ROUND POT HOLDER - No. 2137

With Yellow, ch 6, join. Ch 3 and work 15 d c into ring, join with a sl st.

2nd Row. Ch 4, d c in next d c, * ch 1, d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, join each row.

3rd Row. Ch 3, d c in same space, * ch 1, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around, break thread.

4th Row. With White, ch 3, 2 d c in next d c, * ch 1, 1 d c in next d c, 2 d c in next d c, repeat from * all around.

5th and 6th Rows. Increase 1 st in each section of each row, break thread.

7th Row. With Red increase 1 st in each section. Break thread.

8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Rows. With White-increase 1 st in each section of each row.

Work a second section starting with Red and working the single stripe in Yellow. Pin the 2 sections together and join them with Red as follows, 3 d c in each ch 2, and 1 s c in each d c. Attach ring as illustrated.
