MATERIALS-Lily Rug Yarn, Art. 241 :

1-sk. each Med. Green, Cream, Wine, Lavender, Lt. Dusty Rose and Deep Rose (sufficient for several large Sets)

Crochet hook size 0.

COASTER-Flower-In Cream, ch 7, sl st in 1st st. Ch 3, 20 dc in ring, sl st in top of ch-3. Fasten off.

In back using Deep Rose, sl st in one dc, * ch 3, dc and 2 tr in same st, ch 3, sl st in last tr for a p, 2 tr and 1 dc in next dc, ch 3, sl st in same dc, sl st in next 2 dc. Repeat from * around (7 petals). Fasten off. In same color, make a large French Knot in center hole.

LEAVES-in Green, ch 18, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, work sc, hdc, dc, 2 tr, dc, hdc and sl st in ch, ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 2 ch, ch 10, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, work sc, hdc, dc, 2 tr, dc, hdc and sl st in ch. Sk 1st leaf, sc in 8 unworked ch of stem. Fasten off. Tack stem between 2 petals. Tack leaves to tips of 2 petals.

Make 2d Flower with Lt. Dusty Rose petals, 3d with Lavender and 4th with Wine. Repeat for desired number in Set.

CASE-in Green, ch 5, sl st in 1st ch. Ch 3, 15 dc in ring, sl st in top of ch-3.

ROW 2-Ch 5, dc in same st. In back lps in all rows, make * 2 dc in next dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next. Repeat from * around. Sl st in 3d st of ch-5.

ROW 3-Sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 5, dc in same sp, * dc in each dc across side to next sp, (dc, ch 2, dc) in ch-2 sp. Repeat from * around. Sl st in 3d st of ch-5.

ROW 4-Repeat last row.

ROW 5-Sl st in next ch-2 sp, sc in next 3 dc, hdc in next 5 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sp, dc in next 8 dc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next sp, hdc in next 5 dc, sc in next 3 dc, sl st in next sp. Fasten off. Put this half-row at bottom, under leaves and stems of coasters.

TIES-Fasten a 9" strand of Green to each diagonal side of Case (4 Ties). Rub the back of Coasters and Case with a pad of cloth dipped in hot, thick starch and pin down flat until dry. Pile Coasters on Case and tie strings over the top.
