Lily MERCROCHET Cotton - 2 balls Beauty Pink size 20 and 1 ball Baby Pink size. 30, or Daisy MERCERIZED Crochet Cotton - 1 1/2 skeins Rose Pink, size 20, and 1 skein Lt. Pink size 30.

and

Lily Six Strand Floss - 2 skeins each Rose and Med. Blue, 3 skeins Lt. Green and scraps of Yellow. Crochet hooks Nos. 12 and 5.

A 7 1/2 inch doll.

Taffeta for a slip.

A 6 inch piece of 1 inch pink ribbon.

18 inches narrow blue ribbon.

SKIRT-With Beauty Pink (or Rose Pink) and No. 12 hook (ch 5, sl st in 5th ch from hook for a p) 38 times.

ROW 2-Ch 6, turn, dc in 1st p, (ch 3, sc in next p, ch 3, dc in next p) repeated across (ending with sc).

ROW 3-Ch 6, turn, dc in next dc, (ch 3, dc in next sc, ch 3, dc in next dc) repeated across, ending with dc in end ch-6.

ROW 4-Ch 5, turn, * (dc, ch 2, dc) in next dc, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 2 and repeat from * across, ending with dc in end ch-5.

ROW 5-Ch 5, turn, * (dc, ch 2, dc) in 2-ch center of next shell, ch 2, dc in dc between shells, ch 2 and repeat from * across and end as in last row.

ROW 6-Ch 6, turn, * (dc, ch 2, dc) in next shell, ch 3, dc in dc between shells, ch 3 and repeat from * around and end with ch 3, dc in end ch.

ROW 7-Ch 3, turn, * dc in center sp of next shell, (ch 2, dc) 3 times in same shell, dc in dc between shells. Repeat from * around. End with dc in end ch.

Repeat row 7 once.

ROW 9-Ch 4, turn, * dc in center sp of next shell, (ch 2, dc) 3 times in same sp, ch 1, dc in dc between shells, ch 1 and repeat from * around. End with ch 1, dc in end ch.

Repeat row 9 once.

ROW 11-Ch 5, turn, dc in next shell, (ch 2, dc) 3 times in same sp, ch 2, dc in dc between shells, ch 2 and repeat from * around. End with ch 2, dc in end ch. ROW 12-Ch 3, turn, * dc in next 2d ch-2 sp, (ch 2, dc) 4 times in next (center) sp of shell, ch 2, dc in next sp, dc in dc between shells. Repeat from * around. End with dc in end ch.

Repeat row 12 once.

ROW 14-Ch 4, turn, * dc in 2d ch-2 sp on next shell, (ch 2, dc) 4 times in next sp, ell 2, dc in next sp, ch 1, dc in center dc between shells, ch 1 and repeat from * around. End with ch 1, dc in end ch.

ROW 15-Ch 5, turn and repeat last row from * except make ch-2 between all dc. ROW 16- Ch 3, turn, * dc in next 2d ch-2 sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated to center sp of shell, (ch 2, dc) 3 times in same center sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated to 2d ch-2 sp from dc between shells, dc in dc between shells. Repeat from * around. End with dc in end ch.

ROW 17-Ch 4, turn and repeat from * in Row 16, making ch 1 on each side of dc between shells. End with ch 1, dc in end ch.

ROW 18-Ch 5, turn and repeat from * in Row 16, making ch-2 between all dc.

Repeat Rows 16, 17 and 18 twice.

ROW 25-Ch 3, turn, * dc in next 2d ch-2 sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated to center sp of shell, ch 2, dc in same center sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated to 2d sp from dc between shells, dc in dc between shells. Repeat from * around. End with dc in end ch.

ROW 26-Ch 3, turn, * dc in 1st ch-2 sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated to center sp, ch 2, dc in same sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) repeated up to 3 dc-group between shells, dc in center dc in group. Repeat from * around. End with dc in end ch.

ROW 27-Ch 3, turn, * dc in next ch-2 sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) 5 times to center sp, (ch 2, dc) 3 times in same sp, (ch 2, dc in next sp) 5 times, dc in dc between shells. Repeat from * around. Dc in end ch.

ROW 28-Repeat Row 26.

ROW 29-Ch 1, turn, * (sl st, ch 3, sl st in next ch-2 sp) 13 times, sl st in center dc between points. Repeat from * around. Fasten off.

BODICE-Join to base of 1st p in Row 1 at waist, ch 5, dc in next p, (ch 2, sk 1 p, dc in next p) 18 times, ch 2, dc in end ch.

ROW 2-Ch 3, turn, (dc, ch 2, dc) in each ch-2 sp across to end ch-5 (20 shells), dc in same end ch.

ROW 3-Ch 3, turn,(a dc, ch 2, dc shell in next shell) 20 times, dc in end ch. Repeat row 3 twice.

ROW 6-Ch 3, turn, (a shell in next shell) 4 times, * ch 3, 2 sc in next shell, sc between shells, 2 sc in next shell, ch 3, * (a shell in next shell) 8 times. Repeat from * to *. (A shell in next shell) 4 times, dc in end ch.

ROW 7-Repeat Row 6 to *. Ch 15, (a shell in next shell) 8 times, ch 15, (a shell in next shell) 4 times, dc in end ch. Fasten off.

Collar-With dress right-side-out, sc in Baby Pink (or Lt. Pink) in ch-3 at start of last row, * (2 sc in next shell, sc between shells) repeated across to shoulder strap, 17 sc on ch-15. Repeat from * to end, sc in end dc.

ROW 2-Ch 1, turn, sc in back lp of 1st sc, (ch 5, sk 1 sc, sc in back lp of next sc) repeated around. ROW 3-Ch 7, turn, sc in 1st lp, (ch 5, sc in next lp) repeated around.

ROW 4-Ch 8, turn, sc in 1st lp, (ch 6, sc in next lp) repeated around.

ROW 5-Ch 10, turn, sc in 1st lp, (ch 8, sc in next lp) repeated around.

ROW 6-Ch 3, turn, (2 dc in next lp, ch 5, sl st in 5th ch from hook for a p, ch 1, 2 dc in same lp, ch 1) repeated around, dc in same end lp. Fasten off.

LEAF-With Green Floss and No. 5 hook, (ch 6, sl st in 6th ch from hook) 3 times, sl st at base of 3d leaf from hook, ch 10, sl st in 6th ch from hook, (ch 6, sl st in 6th ch from hook) twice, sl st at base of 3d leaf from hook. Fasten off. Make 22.

FLOWER-With Rose Floss ch 5, sl st in 4th ch from hook, sl st in next ch (center st of flower), ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, sl st in center st) 5 times. Fasten off.

Make 13 in Rose and 12 in Blue.

Stretch and pin Skirt right-side-down in 3/4's of a circle. Steam and press dry thru a cloth. On 1st point at back of Skirt sew a leaf with a Rose flower in center of leaf. Sew a leaf and a Blue flower on next point. Continue around, alternating color of flowers. Sew a leaf and a flower in each color on left side of front of collar. Make a Yellow French Knot in center of each flower.

PANTIES-Wrap a 314 inch strip of taffeta around hips. Seam tog. up back, gather at waist and tack bottom edge tog. between legs.

SLIP-Cut a strip of taffeta 51/2 x 33 inches. Hem one long edge, seam ends tog. and gather top tightly around waist.

Sew Pink ribbon tightly around body, sewing bottom edge over skirt gathers. Put dress on doll and sew back edges tog. Run Blue ribbon thru beading around waist and tie in a bow in front.

HAT-With Beauty Pink (or Rose Pink) ch 7, join with sl st to form ring.

ROW 2-Ch 3, 19 dc in ring, join with sl st to 1st ch-3.

ROW 3-Work all rows in back lps only. Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each dc around. Join.

ROW 4-Ch 1, 2 sc in same st, (sc in next 4 dc, 2 sc in next dc) repeated around, join to 1st sc.

ROW 5-Ch 3, dc in each st around, join to ch-3. Repeat once. Fasten off.

Ruffle-Join Baby Pink (or Lt. Pink), (ch 5, sc in next dc, ch 5, sk 1 dc, sc in next dc) repeated around, making ch 2 and dc for final lp.

ROW 2-(Ch 5, sc in next lp) repeated around with ch 2 and dc for end lp.

ROW 3-Make ch-6 lps around with ch 3 and dc for end lp.

ROW 4- Ch-8 lps around.

ROW 5-Ch 1, sc in next lp, ch 3, dc in same lp, * ch 5, p, ch 1, 2 dc in same lp, ch 1, 2 dc in next lp. Repeat from * around. Ch 1, join to 1st ch-3. Fasten off. Sew a leaf and 2 flowers on each side of front of Ruffle. Sew Hat on head.
