Approximate size: 13 1/2 inches in diameter.

Steel crochet hook No. 7.

Chain (ch) 6, join to form a ring, ch 1, 10 single crochet (sc) in ring, join.

2nd Round: Ch 3 (counts as 1 double crochet [dc]), * dc, ch 2, dc in next sc, repeat from * 8 times, dc in same space as beginning, ch 2, join.

3rd Round: Slip stitch (sl st) to next loop, ch 3, dc in same space, * ch 5, 2 dc cluster st in next loop (2 dc cluster st: keeping last loop of each dc on hook work 2 dc in same space, yarn over and work off all loops at one time), repeat from * 8 times, ch 2, dc in 1st stitch. (This brings thread in position for next round).

4th Round: * Ch 7, sc in next loop, repeat from * 8 times, ch 3, treble crochet (trc) in dc.

5th Round: * Ch 9, sc in next loop, repeat from * all around ending with ch 4, trc in trc.

6th Round: * Ch 11, sc in next loop, repeat from * all around ending with ch 4, double crochet treble ([d trc] 3 times over hook) in trc.

7th Round: * Ch 9, sc in same loop, ch 9, sc in next loop, repeat from * all around ending last repeat with sl st in d trc.

8th Round: Sl st to next loop, ch 4 (counts as 1st trc of 3 trc cluster st at beginning of round), keeping last loop of each trc on hook work 2 trc in same

loop, yarn over and work off all loops at one time, ch 3, 3 trc cluster st in same space. * ch 7, sc in next loop, repeat from * twice, ch 7, cluster st shell in next loop (cluster st shell: 2 - 3 trc cluster sts with ch 3 between the 2 cluster sts), repeat from 1st * all around ending to correspond join.
