The tablecloth is 16 motifs wide and 24 motifs long (approximately 72" x 108").

MOTIF: Ch. 9, join in a ring with a slip st.

Row 1-Ch. 15, * wind thread around hook 9 times, insert hook in ring and work off loops loosely (by thread over and through 2 loops, 10 times), Ch. 3, repeat from * 22 times more (24 long sts. including Ch. 15). Join to 12th Ch. at start of row with a slip st.

Row 2-Ch. 6, thread over hook 5 times, insert hook in next Ch. between long sts., and take off loops (by thread over and through 2 loops, 6 times), work another st. in the next Ch., * Ch. 2, 1 st. in each of the next 3 Ch., repeat from * 22 times, ending Ch. 2, join to 6th Ch. at start of row with a slip st.

Row 3-* Ch. 7, work a slip st. in each of the 2 Ch. between groups, repeat from * 23 times (24 loops).

Row 4-* Ch. 3, 2 D. C. in center st. of loop, Ch. 5, slip st. in first Ch. of Ch. 5 (picot), 2 D. C. in same st. as first 2 D. C., Ch. 3, slip St. in slip st. of Row 3, repeat from * around (24 patterns). Break thread.

Joining-When working last row, join 3 picots of second motif to 3 picots of first motif as follows: Ch. 2, draw the loop through opposite picot, Ch. 3 and finish picot.

Make 384 motifs for entire cloth.

Filling in motif-Ch. 8, join in a ring.

Row 1-* Ch. 8, 1 S. C. in picot of motif, Ch. 8, 1 S. C. in ring, repeat from * 3 times in each of 4 motifs.
