MATERIALS-Lily DAISY Mercerized Crochet Cotton, size 30:-16 skeins or balls White, Cream or Ecru,-sufficient for size 54 x 66 inches (13x16 Blocks).

Crochet hook size 13.

BLOCK- (Size - 4 1/4 inches)- Ch 10, sl st in 1st st. Ch 1 and working over starting end, 12 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc.

ROW 2-Ch 5, dc in next sc, (ch 2, dc in next sc) 10 times, ch 2, sl st in 3d st of 1st 5-ch.

ROW 3-(Ch 1, 3 dc in next sp, ch 1, sc in next dc) repeated around.

ROW 4-51 st to center of next petal, (ch 6, sc in center dc of next petal) 11 times, ch 3, dc in next petal.

ROW 5-Ch 13, * in 1 lp of 2d ch st from hook make 1 hdc, 5 dc, 1 hdc, ch 1 and 1 sl st. ** Ch 3, in 1 Ip of 2d ch st from hook make 1 hdc, 7 dc, 1 hdc, ch 1 and 1 sl st. Ch 3 and repeat from * to **. Sk these 3 petals and make 9 sc over 3/4 of stem ch, leaving final 3 ch sts uncovered, ch 3, sc in next lp. Ch 13, 1 hdc and 3 dc in 2d st from hook, sl st back in center dc of last petal on previous leaf. Complete petal with 2 dc, 1 hdc, ch 1 and 1 sl st. Repeat from ** around, joining final petal to 1st petal. Cut 6 inches long, thread to a needle and fasten off on back.

Border-Join to center petal of one leaf, * ch 15, sc in next, ch 6, tr tr (thread over 4 times and work off in twos) in 1 1p of center dc of next leaf, (ch 3, tr tr) 7 times in same st, ch 6, sc in next clover leaf. Repeat from * around.

ROW 2 * 5 sc in next lp, ch 5, sl st in last sc for a p, (4 sc, a p) twice and 5 sc in bal. of same lp, 7 sc in next lp, (3 sc, a p, 2 sc) in each of next 3 sps. 3 sc in next sp, ch 5, 3 dc in 5th ch st from hook, holding back the last lp of each dc, thread over and pull thru 4 lps at once (a Cluster made), ch 5, sl st in Cluster for a p, ch 5, sl st at base of Cluster, 3 sc in bal. of same sp, (3 sc, a p, 2 sc) in each of next 3 sps, 7 sc in next sp. Repeat from * around. Fasten off as before.

Make and join Blocks by the corner ps and the 9 ps on each side.

To join, in place of a 5-ch p, make 2-ch, sl st in corresponding p on 1st Block, ch 2, sl st back in last sc to complete p. Repeat for all joinings.

Stretch and pin cloth right-side-down in true shape on a large, padded board or table, or on curtain or quilting frames. Steam and press dry thru a cloth. If frames are used, lay them over an ironing board, and steam and press dry in sections until completed.
