MATERIALS-Lily Pearl Cotton, size 5: 3-balls each Ecru and Med Apple Green, 1/2 ball each Golden Brown Red and Yellow, and 1/4 ball Blue (or other colors) for each doily.

Crochet hook size 5.

In Green, ch 209, a 2-dc-Cluster in 6th st from hook, a 2-dc-Cluster in next st, sc in next 4th st, * ch 3, (a 2-dc-Cluster in next st) twice, sc in next 4th st. Repeat from * to end (34 shells).

ROW 2-Ch 5, turn, two 2-dc-Clusters in last sc, sc in 3-ch of next shell, * ch 3, two 2-dc-Clusters in same 3-ch, sc in 3-ch of next shell. Repeat from * to end. Fasten off.

Join Ecru to last sc and repeat Row 2 four times. Fasten off. Then 2 rows each in Green Brown, Red, Yellow, Blue, Yellow, Red, Brown and Green.

Next make (4 rows Ecru, 2 rows Green) 5 times.

FRINGE-Wind Green around a 2" card. Cut at one edge. Tie 6 strands in each 5-ch loop on ends. Trim evenly.

POCKET-In Green, ch 9 with 1st st twice usual size, sk 1 st, (2 sc, 2 hdc, 2 dc and 1 tr) on ch, 11 tr in end st, (1 tr 2 dc, 2 hdc and 2 sc) on other side of ch. Ch 1, turn, sc in 2 sts, hdc in 2 sts, dc in 2 sts, (2 tr in next st) 5 times, (2 tr, 2 dc and 1 hdc) in next st, 1 sc in next, (1 hdc, 2 dc and 2 tr) in next st, (2 tr in next) 5 times, dc in 2 sts, hdc in 2 sts sc in 2 sts, hdc in 1st sc on other side. Fasten off. Make 4 and tack together into a square.

STEM-Ch 22, sk 2 sts, (hdc in 2 sts, 2 hdc in next) 6 times, sc in 2 sts. Fasten off and tack ends to leaf. Tack leaf on lower left corner of doily for pocket for napkin. Stretch and pin doily right-side-down in the shape. Steam and press dry thru a cloth.
