MATERIALS: J. & P. COATS BIG BALL BEST Six CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Size 30:

42 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, or 52 balls of any color,

or CLARK'S BIG BALL THREE CORD MERCERIZED CROCHET, Size 30:

30 balls of White, Ecru or Cream, or 42 balls of any color

Steel Crochet Hook No. 10.

GAUGE: Each motif measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter.

Tablecloth is 60x80 inches

FIRST MOTIF . . . Starting at center, ch 7. Join with sl st to form ring.

1st rnd: 18 sc in ring. Sl st in first sc.

2nd rnd: Ch 4, dc in next sc, (ch 1, dc in next sc) 16 times; ch 1, sl st in 3rd ch of ch-4.

3rd rnd: Ch 3, * dc in next sp, dc in next dc. Repeat from * around. Join.

4th rnd: Ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join.

5th rnd: Ch 3, * skip next dc, in next dc make dc, ch 5 and dc. Repeat from * around, ending with dc in sl st of previous rnd, ch 2, dc in top of ch-3 (18 loops).

6th rnd; Ch 3, * dc in next loop, ch 6, dc in same loop. Repeat from * around, ending with ch 6, sl st in top of ch-3.

7th rnd: * In next loop make 2 sc, dc, ch 5, dc and 2 sc; in next loop make 2 sc, dc, ch 3, dc and 2 sc. Repeat from * around. Sl st in first sc. Break off.

SECOND MOTIF . . .Work as for First Motif until 6th rnd is completed.

7th rnd: 2 sc in next loop, dc in same loop, ch 2, sl st in corresponding ch-5 loop on First Motif, ch 2, make dc and 2 sc in same loop on Second Motif as last dc was made, make 2 sc and dc in next loop, ch 1, sl st in next ch-3 loop on First Motif, ch 1, make dc and 2 sc in same loop on Second Motif as last dc was made, make 2 sc and dc in next loop, ch 2, sl st in next ch-5 loop on First Motif, ch 2, make dc and 2 sc in same loop on Second Motif as last dc was made and complete rnd as for First Motif (no more joinings).

Make 14 rows of 34 motifs and 13 rows of 33 motifs, joining corresponding loops of adjacent sides as Second Motif was joined to First Motif.
