APPROXIMATE SIZE: 14 3/4 inches in diameter

Ch 10, join to form a ring, ch 4, keeping last loop of each st on hook 2 tr c in ring, thread over and work off all loops at one time, ch 3, trc in ring, * ch 3, cluster st in ring (cluster st: keeping last loop of each st on hook, 3 tr c in ring, thread over and work off all loops at one time), ch 3, trc in ring, repeat from * 6 times, ch 3, join in 1st cluster st.

2nd ROUND: Sl st into loop, ch 1, 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c in same loop, * ch 7, 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c in next loop, repeat from * all around ending with ch 3, dc in 1st s c, this brings thread in position for next round.

3rd ROUND: Ch 7, s c in next ch 7 loop, repeat from beg all around ending ch 3, dc in dc.

4th ROUND: Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc in dc (all 1st shells will be worked in same manner), * ch 3, 1 s c, ch 3, 1 s c in next loop (picot), ch 3, 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc (shell) in center st of next loop, repeat from * all around ending with ch 3, 1 sc, ch 3, 1 s c in last loop, ch 3, join in 3rd st of ch at beg.

5th ROUND: Sl st to loop of 1st shell, shell in same loop, * ch 3, s c in next loop, ch 7, skip the next picot, s c in next loop, ch 3, shell in next shell, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join in 3rd st of ch at beg.

6th ROUND: Sl st to loop of 1st shell, shell in same loop, * ch 3, skip next loop, shell in center st of next loop, ch 3, skip next loop, shell in next shell, repeat from * all around ending to correspond, join in 3rd st of ch at beg.

12th ROUND: String beads on "STAR" MERCERIZED SEWING THREAD. Working with strand of "PURITAN" and sewing thread, ch 1, * insert hook in 1st trc of pineapple, place 2 beads close to hook, complete s c (beaded s c), beaded s c in each of the next 6 tr c of pineapple, ch 3, shell in next shell, ch 3, repeat from * all around, do not join or turn following rounds.
