Waterside Performance March 2005
"BodyWorks by Chandani has definitely helped to increase store sales when they
perform in our cafe.
While we regularly have in-store performers, no other artist/performer increases
the volume of traffic like the Sisters of Chandani. The energetic
crowd they consistently draw is enough to keep us asking them back time and time
again -- thank you, Chandani!"

Troupe Biography
We are a young troupe which was
formed by a gifted group of ladies, under the tutelage of Debbie Aichinger in
July 2002. We call ourselves "Sisters of Chandani".
The Sisters of Chandani are a local belly dance
sensation, drawing crowds from all over the Hampton Roads area. Their dancing
abilities are mesmerizing as they incorporate moves from Morocco, Turkey, Egypt,
Lebanon and an American flare to create a fun filled show.

Meet the Troupe
I am Vanessa and I have been Chandani's student for over 3 years. I am a proud forty something woman. I am a mother of a wonderful teenager and I am married to my best friend of 18 years. My hobbies include gardening and sewing. My passion and my life commitment are to dance. I dance to exist as a whole and peaceful person - that's what makes me happy.
My name is Andrea and I have been a student of Chandani's for over a year. Originally from Oregon, I am a writer with a wonderful husband and a cat named, Shadow. Belly dancing offers me a much needed creative outlet, a way to slow down and express myself in the middle of a busy life. The sense of community with the other women also makes Chandani's studio a home away from home for this West Coast girl.
My name is Jacqueline and I have been a student of Chandani's for about 1 and 1/2. After spending 20 years in the Navy it was nice to find a creative outlet for expression in energy that honors women. I've been married for 14 years to my wonderful husband Glen and been blessed with three furry cat children. My hobbies include baking, sewing, reading, and other quirky hobbies. I am a free spirit that found a home in belly dancing.
Hello! My name is Kendall and I have been a student of Chandani's for
almost a year now. After spending the past 19 years riding horses, it was
nice to find another activity that is so rewarding. Belly dancing has
become another outlet for me. My hobbies include spending time with my
incredible horse "Obie", making frequent trips
to the beach, and occasionally going to the driving range to hit the "small
ball".
