Biography


16 June 1971, Tupac Shakur is born in the New York University Hospital. His mother was Afeni Shakur and his father Billy Garland. Tupac didn't know his father and was raised by his mother. Afeni Shakur was a Black Panthers member. Tupac had a half brother named Maurice Harding.

1983, Leggs moves in with the shakurs, because of him Afeni started to use crack.

September 1983, Tupac joined a Harlem theater group named : The 127Th Street Ensemble. At hs first performance he played Travis in Lorraine Hansberry's play, "A Raisin in the Sun".

1985, Tupac moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He wrote his first rap lyric and performed under the name of MC New York. It's here where Tupac met his life-long friend and fellow star Jada Pinkett.

1986, Tupac had to quit the Baltimore school for Performing Arts, and moved to Marin City, California with his family. In Baltimore he began selling drugs, which caused his first shooting in September.

September 1988, Mutulu Shakur, 2Pac's stepfather had to go to jail for 60 years because of his involvement in a 1981 armored-car robbery.

1989, Tupac starts his first rap group called Strictly Dope, with Ray Luv. A few of his numbers are recorded on the album 1 in 21 , A Tupac Shakur Story.

1989, Tupac becomes chairman of the New African Panthers, an organization of black youth deternined to honor the goals of the original Panthers without duplicating their mistakes.

1990, Tupac joins rap group Digital Underground. He was a rapper and a dancer.

January 1991, His first record debut with Digital Underground. The album is named: This is an EP Release.

12 November 1991, 2Pacalypse Now released, Tupac's first solo album. The album sold gold.

September 1992, Vice President, Dan Quayle said that 2Pacalypse had no place in our society.

17 January 1992, His first movie debut in the movie Juice. He played Bishop a kid who wanted to be respected.

April 1992, Ronald Ray Howard, 19, shoots a Texas tropper and Howard's Attorney claims that Howard was incited by Tupac's album "2Pacalypse Now," which was in his tape deck at the time.

February 1993, Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z. released, his second album. The album was sold beter than 2Pacalypse and sold platinum.

1993, Tupac is dropped from the cast of the movie 'Higher Learning'.

13 March 1993, Tupac had a fight with a limo driver because of smoking a blunt in the limo. The charges where dropped. Tupac went 10 days to jail because he had swinged a baseball bat at another rapper during a concert.

23 July 1993, Tupac's second movie released Poetic Justice. He played together with Janet Jackson. He played Lucky a postal worker. This was the first movie debut for Janet Jackson.

31 October 1993, He was arrested for shooting at 2 off-duty police officers, the charges where drropped.

18 November 1993, Tupac was accused and later arrested of sexual harassing a 19 year old women. Tupac was released on bail while he was on trial.

10 March 1994, Once again Tupac came in contact with the police. This time for attacking Allen Hughes. He was the director of the movie Menace II Society. Tupac was angry bacause he didn't get the role in the movie, and had to go 15 days to jail.

1994, The album Thug Life was released.

23 March 1994, Above The Rim a movie about basketball released with Tupac Shakur. Tupac
plays Birdie, the brother of a ex-basketballer. The movie sold over 2 million copies.

7 September 1994, Two teens from Milwaukee murdered a police officer, they where inspired by Tupac's song Soujah's Story.

30 November 1994, Tupac was shot 5 times in New York City at the Time Square Recording Studio, all his jewels and cash were taken. Tupac was brought to the emergency room for surgery. He checked out three hours after the surgery, which probably saved his life. 2Pac thought that someone from Bad Boys Records Label had something to do with the hit. But till this day the shooters are unknown. The shooting took place a couple of hours before the trial for sexual abuse. The trial was delayed till 14 February 1995.

14 February 1995, In the trial he was charged guilty and had to go 4 and a half year to New York's Rikers Island Penitentiary.

1 April 1995, The debut of Tupac's third album : Me Against The World. It debuted at NO.1 on pop Bill board's charts. In 7 months it sold double platinum. The album was written in Jail. Two songs where big hits, Dear Mama and Temptations. The video clips where made by others. The clip from Temptations contained a couple of other rappers like Ice-T, Coolio, Warren G and more.

May 1995, Tupac marries longtime girlfriend Keisha Morris.

October 1995, Suge Knight from Death Row Records payed $1.4 million bail to get Tupac out of jail. He went to L.A. to start recording on his new album for Death Row Records.

13 February 1996, All Eyez On Me came out. It was Tupac's first album for Death Row. It was a very special one, because it was a double album which no other rapper had done before. The album sold 7 million copies, and came at NO. 1 on rap Bill Board's Charts. On this moment it's still on number one, and I hope it will stay that way.

February 1996, Tupac had been sleeping with Notorius B.I.G.'s wife Faith Evans and was made public. Faith Evans denied that they had sex.

4 June 1996, Hit Em Up released, A song against Notorius B.I.G., Puff Daddy, Mobb Deep and others.

4 September 1996, Tupac went to the MTV Music Video Awards in New York. He was very well protected with a bodyguard on every exit of the building, a bullet proof vest, and a walkie-talkie in his hand all night. But he got into a fight with some Bad Boy members.

1996, Tupac works on the movie Gang Related. The movie is called Criminal Intent in Europe.

7 September 1996, Suge Knight from Death Row and Tupac went to a boxing game between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon in Las Vegas. Suge and 2Pac got in a fight wih Orlando Anderson.

7 September 1996, Tupac and Suge Knight left the fight in Suge's B.M.W. At a intersection a white cadillac pulled up alongside the B.M.W. A man stepped out and opened fire at 2Pac and Suge Knight. Tupac tried to jump into the back seat, but while he tried to jump his chest was exposed. He was shot 5 times out of 13 shots fired at the car. Suge Knight was hit 1 time, the bullet grazed Suge's head.

7 September 1996, Suge Knight turned the car and drove 5 blocks before he called the ambulance. Tupac and Suge where brought to the University of Las Vegas Medical Center. Tupac had three surgeries. During the first surgerie, his left lung and all the bullets were removed. The other two surgeries where to stop the internal bleeding.

13 September 1996, Tupac Amaru Shakur dies from his injuries.

7 November 1996, Afeni Shakur releases the new Tupac album under his alias Makaveli. The album is called The Don Killuminati - The 7 Day Theory.

24 November 1997, Another album is released but under his own name. The album is called R U Still Down? (Remember Me).

27 November 1997, All the best hits are on the new released album : 2Pac's Greatest Hits. It's a double album.
