Welcome...
We offer support, encouragement and information to Australians living with Intracranial Hypertension (IH).
IH goes by many names, such as Pseudotumor Cerebri, Benign Intracranial Hypertension and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. These are usually shortened to PTC, BIH and IIH.
Within this site, the disease will simply be referred to as IH (intracranial Hypertension), as this is the most correct and modern term for the disorder.
It is a disease where the body produces too much of the fluid that circulates between the spine and the brain.
To find out more, explore our resources, join our mailing list, or add a question to our forums. We also encourage the sharing of personal stories, and any contributions would be accepted with delight.
