TRAVEL TIPS
Anna Maria Island is located 40 miles south of Tampa
and seven miles west of Bradenton. U.S. State Road 64
can access it, over the Manatee Avenue Bridge; State
Road 684 over the Cortez Bridge or A third Bridge
offers access from Longboat Key to the island. Anna
Maria Island is located within minutes from
Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Most
visitors to the island arrive by car while others
prefer to take a leisurely cruise and then stop at one of the island’s many
pier restaurants or marinas.

FROM THE NORTH:
Orlando International Airport

Location: 7 Miles S Of Orlando
FROM ORLANDO--Go west towards Tampa on Interstate 4 To Interstate 75 South
to Exit 220 (Old exit 42). Turn right onto State Road 64, (which becomes
Manatee Ave); go about 18 miles to Anna Maria Island. thru city of
Bradenton and over causeway, and over the island bridge Once on Anna Maria
Island, Go thru the traffic light; yield right at the next traffic light.
Follow this road 789N for a ½ mile; to the information center and the Anna
Maria Island Chamber of Commerce are located in the Yellow Building on the
right side of road before the Marina Drive traffic light.

Follow Exit Signs from airport toward 275 south Follow 275S toward St..
Petersburg. Proceed over the Howard Franklin Bridge Continue through St.
Petersburg on 275S Follow signs for Bradenton to Skyway Bridge After bridge
follow signs to Rt. 19S Bradenton/Palmetto Follow 19S toward Business 41S
(Palmetto sign only) Stay on 41S thru Palmetto & over the Manatee River
Bridge At third traffic light (Manatee Ave- SR 64) turn RIGHT 10 miles to
island Continue thru city of Bradenton and over causeway, and over the
island bridge. Once on Anna Maria Island, Go thru the traffic light; yield
right at the next traffic light. Follow this road 789N for a ½ mile; the
information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce are located
in the Yellow Building on the right side of road before the Marina Drive
traffic light.

FROM THE SOUTH
Ft. Meyers / Naples / Miami / Ft. Lauderdale:
Take Alligator Alley to Interstate 75 North (Miami & Ft. Lauderdale) Follow
Interstate 75 north to Exit 220B (Old 42B). After loop in the bridge follow
State Road 64, (which becomes Manatee Ave); Continue thru city of
Bradenton about 18 miles to Anna Maria Island over causeway, and over the
island bridge. Once on Anna Maria Island, Go thru the traffic light; yield
right at the next traffic light. Follow this road 789N for a ½ mile; the
information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce are located
in the Yellow Building on the right side of road before the Marina Drive
traffic light.

3 Miles N Of Sarasota
Exit airport on 41 North right toward Bradenton Turn left on 53rd take 53rd
all the way to the intersection with Cortez Rd. Go straight across where
road will become 75th St. West Proceed to intersection with Manatee Ave (SR
64)and go over the causeway, and over the island bridge 7 miles to Anna
Maria Island. Once on Anna Maria Island, Go thru the traffic light; yield
right at the next traffic light. Follow this road 789N for a ½ mile; the
information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce are located
in the Yellow Building on the right side of road before the Marina Drive
