Norman Lindsay



Born: 23 February 1879, Creswick, Victoria
Died: 21 November 1969, Falconbridge (in the Blue Mountains), New South Wales

Norman Lindsay worked as a sports illustrator in Melbourne, then he joined the The Bulletin (Sydney) in 1901 and eventually became the newspaper's chief cartoonist. A painter and book illustrator, Lindsay was asked on the outbreak of the First World War to produce a series of propaganda posters for the Allies.
