"All the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill the history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill at dancing." ....................... - Moliere

I stole this quote from LeftistLounge.com. it's hilarious...Give Bush some dance lessons, quick!! ...Moliere is a genius.
Happy New Year, everybody! This year's starting a little rocky, but it's gonna be quite a ride, i think.
If you've watched MTV lately, yes, I am kissing a plastic puppet of a dog. and I got paid for it! Yes folks, my most recent nationally televised performance is playing opposite Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (from COnan O'Brian) in his new music video, "I Keed", as his love interest, Britney Spears. Please don't laugh. I am an artist, and I am very sensitive about my sh*t.

Everything's Wonderful, an indie feature by Skip Schwink, (featuring *me*) is screening tonight @ New York International Independent Film and Video Festival, NYC. It took the award for BEST COMEDY!!! nice.
I, however, will not be walking down the red carpet. Alas, I am in London.

(having a great time!)

I'll say "hello" to Big Ben for everyone.

I just came from hanging out with a (very-talented-actor) friend who might have an unhealthy obsession with reality television shows. But he told me a very interesting little trivia bit about BIG BROTHER. TOwards the end of shooting, the last three peoples remaining were all doped up on Lithium! yes, folks, PA's who worked on the set leaked that they were giving the participants Lithium to keep them walking & talking, while severe depression set in from having every inch of their lives scrutinized under the public eye. I wonder if the president gets such perks?

I woke up at noon today, having needed to recover from shooting 14-17 hour days on the set of Spiderman II. I decided I want to go back to auditioning since I've taken over a month off. I checked Backstage.com and the first article I see covers an issue in the business I've groaned about for years now: Reality TV. In the first paragraph alone I find a stat that I find particularly troubling. I quote:

Reality shows have taken their toll on the actors, writers, and directors hoping to eke out a living in this town. While the cards have long been stacked against the average actor looking for work, today more than 40 percent of the current on-air real estate is taken up by reality shows. The odds of landing a legitimate acting gig have gotten even steeper.

There you have it. That's worse than I thought. (and I never knew "eke" was a verb. 'to eke'...)

I should have known American television has hit an all new low when I saw an ad for a new show last night while watching Malcolm in the Middle with my roomates [who, by the way, also said that my mother is just like the mom on that show!] The commerical was for a new show "WHILE YOU WERE DRUNK"... ugh. need I say more?

It's my birthday. and it's snowing. What is going on??? I think Mother Nature's been rather confused this year. Maybe she's having a hard time telling what season it's supposed to be through the smog, pollution, bomb smoke and tear gas.

I drove home from DC today up the NJ Turnpike and noticed an SUV drive past me with American flags flying from every window. The rear window had written on it:
SHUT UP AND SUPPORT OUR TROOPS! UNLESS YOUR FRENCH, AND THEN YOU CAN GO TO HELL.
Well. That's one proud American. SUV, flags and an offensive declaration of patriotism. He should have checked his grammar, though.(Should read "unless you're French")... Sorry, pet peeve of mine. Vive la France!
