New players this year were Peter Forseberg, Selanne(traded), Friesen(traded), Dumont, Blake, Irbe, Ozolnish(traded), McCarty, McKenna, and Handzus.
Gone is a couple big fan favorites. Al MacInnis, Eric Desjardins, and Steve Yzerman. Of all the player, Yzerman will be missed most. That is also not including goaltender Eddie Belfour who was brought in last year for help for the play-offs who failed miserably.
