Requirements

Service project groups must complete a minimum of 5 hours of community service per nine weeks. Those 5 hours may count towards the mandatory 20 hours per semester for NHS. SPG meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Leaders will go over any events they have planned for their group. Members of a service project will be expected to attend all events organized by the S.P.G. leader.

Leaders

S.P.G. leaders are responsible for the organization of volunteer events for their group. Remember to fill out a service project information sheet after each event you plan. Please plan what you would like to discuss with your group at meetings ahead of time.

Important

If you are a member of 2 SPGs make sure you have enough time to be active in both groups. If you believe you will be too busy to be in two, now is the time to tell myself and the group leader.
The group with the most amount of community service hours by the National Honor Society Banquet will be acknowledged at the banquet and will receive a gift for each member of the SPG.
