WELCOME FROM COTC

To: League Cadets – NLCC Orientation – NAS Whiting Field

From: LTJG Eric F. Byers – COTC

Subject: Welcome Aboard

Date: 20 May 2002

It is with great pride and honor that I tell you “Welcome Aboard”. I am very excited that you chose NLCC Orientation at Whiting Field in Milton, FL. We will be providing one of the most challenging and yet rewarding experiences that most of you have ever participated in. Every day will be filled with new and exciting challenges for each of you.

NAS Whiting Field is at an elevated threat condition. Please remember this when arriving.

Please remember that strict adherence to the Chain of Command will be observed at all times. Also, I expect my cadets to be well behaved at all times. This includes, but is not limited to obeying orders, proper behavior and conducting oneself in a military manner at all times.

Two things that will not be tolerated at any time: First is any type of disciplinary problem, we are not here to baby sit cadets; Second, MILITARY COURTESIES AND ADHERENCE TO THE CHAIN OF COMMAND WILL BE OBSERVED BY ALL PERSONNEL AT ALL TIMES. I am a straight shooter and I expect, even demand, that all my cadets be straight forward with my staff at all times.

Once again, Welcome Aboard. Thank you for your time and dedication to the program.

Sincerely,

LTJG Eric F. Byers
