BROTHERS OF THE THIRD WHEEL is an International
Organization dedicated to Trikers. We have members
throughout the United States, Canada, as well as
several other countries. Our sole purpose is to put
Trikers in touch with Trikers, for the purpose of
exchanging ideas, help, friendship and a love of Triking.
We are too spread out to be a social group, however
most of our Chapters do get together on a regular basis.
We host an International Trike-In each August in
conjunction with Sturgis Bike Week in South Dakota.
We also have many activities sponsored by our
Chapters, which are open to everyone.
Our State Directors are a vital link in our chain of
communication. We encourage our members to become
involved in their local Chapters as well as at the
International level. Each Chapter is free to elect their
own officers, and govern themselves. All that we ask is
that the good name of the Organization be upheld and
be aware of what they are doing.
We publish a 48-page magazine, featuring information
that is of interest to the members. We include all known
Trike Outlets, items to order (patches, pins, T-shirts,
etc.), tech tips, upcoming events, pictures of members'
Trikes, and any other information our members would
like to see printed. We are dependent on each and
every member for BTW to flourish, and we value any
and all input.
Most of our members are between the ages of 35 and
60 and the variety of trikes are as numerous as the
members who ride them. Almost every conceivable
combination of motor and chassis has been converted
into a Trike, from Harley, VW, Honda, V-8s, etc. We
appreciate any pictures you send us to add to our
collection of Trike albums (which we bring to all events
to share with the members for pleasure as well as
ideas).
BROTHERS OF THE THIRD WHEEL is not a club. We
are a close-knit Organization, where you are a stranger
only once. Our members pride themselves in making
everyone feel welcome and helping each other in any
way they can. If you have any questions, feel free to
