Established in 1954, the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra is widely embraced for its diverse repertoire, which spans various musical eras from Baroque to Contemporary. Called “first-rate and “excellent” by Gramaphone magazine, the Polish orchestra was awarded a Gold disc for its recording Symphonically Perfect. The evening, headed by acclaimed conductor Jacek Kaspszyk and award winning cello soloist Maciej Mlodawski, will feature a program including Dvorak’s 7th Symphony in D minor and Dvorak’s cello concerto in D Minor.
The Orchestra performs regularly presenting around 100 programmes per season. Its repertoire is exceptionally varied. The orchestra has given performances in renowned concert hall throughout the world as well as a concert in New York’s St. Patrick Cathedral in memory of Pope John Paul II.

The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a series of events held throughout the country. Since its inception, the sailing community has raised millions of dollars to support the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through this event.

This will be fun-filled event with a full 5K for all ages with/without your pet, Kids Fun Walk/Run, plenty of kid's games & activities, entertainment, food, pet adoptions, micro-chipping, dog rally, meet the breeds event, and most of all fun for the whole family. This will be a fun race but it will also be timed by a professional timing coming to help secure pro athletes and runners in the community. Registration on the day of will be from 7:30am-8:30am and the race will start around 9am.

Sign up for "Picnic with Your Pooch" at Shell Island, this Memorial Day weekend. Dog-friendly cruises will begin from the Shrimp Boat Restaurant in St. Andrews at 9:00am and end back there at 12:00 noon.
The round-trip fare is FREE for dogs and kids, but there is a $25 baggage and handling charge for each adult human companion. Hot dogs, water and soft drinks will be provided on the island. Reservations required and space is limited. Beach Yoga

Time to get fit and it's FREE.  Morning Yoga for all ages and experience.  Classes are at 10am on the beach behind Spinnaker Beach Club every Friday and it's all summer long. Spinnaker's is just a short 10 minute walk, so a nice warmup before you start.

Seabreeze Jazz Festival 2011

The Seabreeze Jazz Festival starts April 13th at Aaron Bessant Park in Pier Park and is set up to be the biggest year ever.

The lineup for each day is as follows:

Wednesday April 13

Dinner and Entertainment abroad the Lady Anderson. Cruise departs promptly at 7pm, Dinner will be served. Dinner will be a selection of hot entrees (Seafood, Carved Beef and Pasta Dishes), Vegetables, Salad, Fruit, Rolls with Butter and Dessert. Coffee and Tea. A Cash Bar will be available. Following Dinner Jazz Entertainment will be provided Eric Darius. Meet and Greet and CD signing to follow. Cruise will return to the docks at 10pm. Given that the cruise is on the Lady Anderson, I would assume that it’s going out of Captain Anderson’s Marina, but it’s not stated on the website.

Thursday April 14

3 pm – Free kickoff concert at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Pier Park.  Dotsero is playing. 5 pm – VIP entrance to Aaron Bessant Park. 5:15 pm – General admission to Aaron Bessant Park. 6 pm – Roman Street. 6:30 pm – Boney James. 8:30 pm – George Benson

Friday April 15
