THE QUIZ

Don't worry. It's multiple choice and it has pictures.

Anyways, I'm afraid I didn't do a very good job at making these example, but no matter. They look about right. This is what you do: find the category that REMINDS you the most about the way you draw now. Then read what it says at the side.

BAD HAND

Alright, if this is you then you need sketching practice to fix your technique. Don't get cocky with me, you came to this page for a reason. I'm not insulting your style or anything, that's an opinionated thing. When I criticize you, I do so as your honest friend, and what I'm pointing out are the facts.

BAD HAND:
1. Lines are dark and furry or too light and too furry. Drawing like this burns time and slows the process of your improvement. Never draw these furry squiggly short-stroke lines again. You must learn to sketch more naturally and less stressed.

2. "I wanted to make the hair look cool and spiky but now something isn't right." This is called lumpy head syndrome. The hair clumps are clumped and textured way too much.

3. The hands, you need work on the hands. And a little of anatomy. You see your own hand? It's big enough to cover your face when the fingers are spread. It's not good to draw tiny unproportional hands.
