S.M.E. (savage media & entertainment) is a small but powerful record label coming up from the bottom of the United states. It consist of 10 blazin artist, including a reggae artist and a rap/ vocalist hybrid. The label was formed slowly over the course of 6 years. It all started in 1997 by Tha Chief, when he came up with the idea of a record label after hearing rapper's Arson & Ms. Sheri freestylin in the hallways of Dunnellon high school a hot bed of talent. Over time the label gained more and more support with each artist that joined the team. By 2000 they had formed an arsenol strong enough to take down even the strongest of labels. That Next year the Tribe (what s.m.e. is collectivly known as) Struck gold with a song they had writtin to perform for a concert at the royal blue in Gainesville Florida, ... that song was "Love this clique". afterward more hits were to follow and in early 2002 the Tribe hit the air waves for the 1st time with the track "Fat pockets", .... but it wasnt till later that year that the Tribe really hit the scene hard. After shifting the labels head quarters to Orlando, Tha Chief, Arson, and Menace collaborated on a track that as of now is the biggest song in S.M.E.'s short history, .. that song was "florida girls" Tha tribes own rendition to the old beach boys song "california girls". Ironically the best of times was also the worst of times for the Tribe, as the label was at its high point with a solid hit song, slowly things started falling apart. Friends Alvin Morales & Kieth bostick died, Alvin in a car accident in Ocala & Kieth, stabed to death in the streets of chatmire while trying to help a friend. Then another twist of fate when the main studio in Orlando went down, .... a move back to Marion county was the only option, and S.M.E. set up shop back in the Ocala metro. Now nearly 3 months after they dropped the smash single "Florida girls", Tha tribe is back on the grind and puttin in work like never before. There 1st video will be shot in late march in Chatmire Florida follwed by a trip to Daytona beach to shoot the video for "Florida girls". What does the future hold for the Tribe? ... Only good things, if you ask any member of the 10 man team there is no doubt they are destined for greatnes, the real question is ... not if but when .....
