Dear Telugu Friends,

Telugu community of the Greater Orlando region has been constantly expanding with many of our friends moving into this area in pursuit of their future. The future of our Telugu culture remains in our hands only. We have a number of festivals every year, which, as we all know, are uniquely celebrated with great fanfare by our Telugu people back home in Andhra Pradesh. Besides, there are many forms of arts such as Kuchipudi dance, Bharata Natyam, Carnatic music, Annamacharya Keertanas, Kavithas, Telugu Cinema songs and many others which are performed to please our hearts.  Thus, celebrating our festivals and arts and keeping up our cultural values will not only help the upkeep of traditions but also gives us means to develop our talents and making us happy. With this  in mind, a few elders of our Telugu community here have been constantly planning to organize the Telugu people together and conduct programs to celebrate Telugu culture on important occasions. It is our firm belief and sincere hope that these occasions will not only give an opportunity to get to know each other but also form a way of maintaining our traditions and pass them on to future generations.

We are trying to put together an address directory of all the Telugu people residing in the Greater Orlando region. We believe that currently there are at least 300 Telugu families in this region. We are aware that there are many more families and we wish to include them also in our directory and provide opportunities to make all of us feel happy with our Telugu friends in this region, though we are away from our home land. So, please  send us your information so we could include you in our mailing list. 

Telugu Ugaadi function is going to be celebrated on April 6th, 2002 at Temple Hall, Casselberry, FL 32707.

All Telugu friends are invited to attend this function and make it a grand success.
