GETTING SET UP
Alright. This page is on how to set up your brand new out of the box HD Loader, PS2 Network Adapter, And IDE Hard Drive.
Before installation. Be sure that the Hard Drive fits the PS2 Network Adapter. There is online help seen from this website HERE for compatibility on standard computer Hard Drives.
Here is the Offical PS2 Network Adapter.
You will notice that the Network Adapter has a standard hard drive IDE and power plug, this is where the hard drive will be placed into. (see picture)
Take off the plastic backing labelled "Expansion Bay" from the back of your PS2 Console and slide the Network Adapter/Hard Drive inside of it:
After insertion, take a coin or screwdriver and firmly tighten the 2 screws on the Network Adapter.
Now after the Hard Drive and Network Adapter are installed, turn on the Playstation 2, and put in the HD Loader Disk.
Wait a few seconds, it will be like a regular game loading.. Then it will ask to format. Hit ok.
For installing a game. Simply just go on the side menu, and click "Install" , it will ask you to insert a cd/dvd (this means a game, not really a dvd.) Then it will read it, and then it will want you to punch in a name. Then it will start to read the disk.
To play a game, highlight which game you would like, then click on the right menu "Play."
