1. Go into Zmod
2. Load the skin of the car you want reflected onto the wccar in Zmod.
3. File, export (still in Zmod) and call it whatever you want but make sure it is in .3ds format. For this tutorial, I will call it car.3ds.
4. Go into 3d studio max.
5. File import and locate your file.
6. DO NOT PANIC! The car WILL look damaged.
7. In 3d Max, hit the h key. A window like this will appear:
8. Now we will delete the damage. Highlight high12 through high19. hit select. the window will go away and only a few pieces will be selected. hit the delete (not backspace) key.
9. Repeat this process with the 20's, 30's, and 40's.
10. If you have a chevy car, leave high1-high11, high59, and the "rtire" s.
11. now there will only be a left rear tire. move one up to the left-rear tire. yes the original tire is still there....in fact, all four tires are there. so just move the remaining tires to the other side and line them up.
12. Once you have the tires lined up, you can start with the mirror effect. create a plane under the car and line it up with the tires.
13. with the plane selected, go into material editor (m key)
14. select an unusued slot.
15. where it says type, click the button and select raytrace.
16. deselect the checkbox next to reflect.
17. in the box, type in 255. it will go back to 200, but it realizes the 255.
18. in specular level, make it 80.
19. in glossines, make it 190.
20. create another plane and move it just above the first and set the opacity to 75. you can change it if you want, but for the tutorial, it will be 75.
21. render the scene and make changes if you want.
