Tips For Protecting Your Child Online:

One of the most effective ways to protect your child from online predators comes in the form of monitoring software such as Catch Cheat. Software such as this allows you to monitor the online activities of your child, including the ability to view their e-mail, their chats and instant message conversations, the sites they frequent and so on. Many parents over the last several years have turned to software similar to this to keep their children safe.

Be sure to advise your children never to give out personal information such as their name, address, phone number, etc. This is vital to the safety of your children.

Place your computer in the family area. This will allow you to monitor their activity more easily.

Set time limits and monitor the amount of time your child spends on the Internet, and at what times of day.

Regularly ask your kids about their online friends and activities. Be present in the room so you can monitor the screen and your child's IM.
