THE ZILLIONAIRES XV

(THE ANDROIDS)

Ryan had been going over his list of items in his lab for almost two weeks all day every day. The list had everything in his lab on it. Each year, he would put all of the data on the list into his home-made computer file system which would sort out all of it. Then he would be able to find everything he needed with out having to go through all of the thousands of items. Finally, on the 12^th day, he decided that he needed some fresh air.

Ryan left his lab and walked out into his yard. Then he went to the back of it where there was a forest. Of course their wasn’t a real forest in his yard, he and his brother had planted trees out there when they were kids. Then they had sprinkled some super growth fertilizer all around the trees. It made the trees grow 10 feet taller every year.

After the trees grew about 50 feet, they built a tree house system. There was a tree house in every tree. All of them were connected by rope bridges. It had taken them years to build it, since there were 140 trees.

As Ryan looked up at the tree house system, he couldn’t even remember the last time he went into one of the old tree houses. He noticed that the buildings were rotting and that the different colors of paints he had used on them were almost completely faded. The paints were also curling up and chipping off with the wood. Some of the tree houses were collapsed and most of the roofs were rotted out. Sunlight poured down into them.

He was wondering if it would be safe to climb one of the ladders just as a figure approached him from about 30 feet away. The man had a gun in his hand. Another man joined him. Then another. Then another. Then another.

Ryan walked over to the ladder closest to him looked up at the tree house far above. If he fell he would almost surely die. The trees had gotten a whole lot bigger since when they built the tree house system.

Then he heard a crunch behind him. Ryan whirled around and saw about fifteen men.

"Think fast." he told himself. Out loud he called out. "Hello there. Who are ya’ll?"

The men remained motionless.

"I hope you know that this is private property. I need to ask you all to leave. The exit is behind you. If you don’t go, I’ll have to call my guards to take you away."

Ryan jumped to the side, and flew (not literally) up the tree. The dull-voiced men followed. They were fast too.

Ryan raced along the bridges. They shook like crazy. At one point he fell over the edge but grabbed the bridge at the last second. He climbed back up and ran forward, firing at the guys with his laser watch whenever he got the chance.

On of his lasers hit a guy in the face. Ryan expected to hear the guy scream in pain or die or something, but he kept on coming! Ryan looked behind him and saw that there was no blood! All that was there was a smoking hole!

"Holy cow!" Ryan exclaimed. He turned off on the right and went three tree houses down. One of them had a missing bottom. At the last second, he jumped farther than he had ever jumped before. He landed on the bridge 17 feet later. Then he followed the bridge and turned right again and ran until he came to the last tree house, the one the corner. It was also closest to his house.

The men fired at him again. Ryan climbed down the tree and fell the last 8 feet. The men were close behind. Ryan raced as fast as he could towards his home. The adrenaline in his body was burning in his chest as he made it into his house.

He quickly slammed the door and locked it, and then he punched in a secret code number on the key pad by the door and the shields came out.

The shields were 7 inches thick, nearly indestructible, and were stored under the roof above the attic. They jerked, and then they popped out of the roof. The shields spread out and went straight out for about 15 feet in all directions and then they zoomed down into the ground. The entire house was covered in two seconds.

Ryan panted. "Those guys almost killed me! I wonder what they wanted?" He walked over to the security room and went in. He turned on the video screen. The screen image was from the video camera outside in the trees. He saw the men. They were trying to get inside. He aimed the camera at one of them. All of the camera around the house had stunners on them.

Ryan pressed a button and the stunner shot the man im the back of the neck. It penetrated the skin but didn’t faze him. For just a second, Ryan thought he saw a spark as the dart went into the guy. He fired another one. It still didn’t faze him. This time, Ryan knew he saw a spark. "Oh no! What are theses guys?!" he screamed.

As if on cue, Ryan heard somebody walking towards the room that he was in. Then he heard a muffled laugh right outside the door. He jumped off of his chair and ran to the door. He pulled it open and saw his smiling brother.

"GOTCHA!!!!!" Keith said.

"AAARRRRGGGGG!!!" Ryan punched his brother in the stomach. "YOU IMBECILE! DID YOU PAY THOSE UNKILLABLE GUYS TO KILL ME?! IS THAT WHAT YOU DID?! HUH?! DO YOU HATE ME THAT MUCH?!"

Keith kept laughing.

"SHUT-UP AND LISTEN TO ME!" he punched his brother in the face as hard as he could with his puny little body.

Keith fell backwards and put his hands on his face. It was completely covered in sopping wet blood. His nose felt like it was broken. Then he washed it off and told his brother the whole story.

"I built those men. They are androids. We can use them to do stuff that is even to dangerous for us."

"So why were you trying to kill me?!"

"Relax, Ryan, I wasn’t trying to kill you. I made the androids fire at you with stunners. Then they were supposed to bring back here, but you got away from them. It was all just a test."

"Well don’t ever do it again! If you do, I’ll kill you!"

"Watch it Ry, If I want to, I can make the androids kill you. Trust me. They are totally under my control."

Or so he thought.

The next day, Keith went to see Ryan in his lab. Ryan was still sore at his brother.

"What in the world do you want?!"

"I um, want ask if you, um, if you want to go to the carnival um, with our families."

Ryan picked up one of his old inventions and threw it at his brother as he jumped through the door. It shattered like a vase. "I’ll take that as a no!" Keith called through the door. "What other answer is there?!"

Keith and his family went to the carnival.

While they were gone, Ryan left his lab and went into his brother’s lab. It took him 2 hours just to get through all of the outer doors. Finally, he got in. Keith had the hugest lab that Ryan had ever seen. As he walked around he came to a locked door. He bypassed the system and the door made a fizzing sound as it opened up.

Ryan stepped into the dark room and turned on all of the lights. The place was gigantic. Ryan looked around and saw what the place was. It was the building area for the androids.

"Maybe I can pay Keith back." Ryan smiled.

He walked over to a table. It had heads on it. They were opened up at the top, revealing a mess of circuits and switch boards.

Another table had right arms on it. Another table had left legs on it. There were tables for each of the body parts. Each table had 100 parts on it, which were numbered.

The Ryan figured out how to get back at his brother. He went to the computer console and turned it on. He went to the android database and studied it. It was just a bunch of large numbers and letters jumbled up together. Ryan added thousands and thousands more numbers and letters in it to mess it up. "That’ll teach Keith to try and kill me." Ryan laughed his best maniac laugh. "HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

That night, Keith went down to his lab and put the rest of the androids bodies together. Then he went to his android database and loaded all of the information onto a 100 Mega-Zip CD’s. Keith put them into the android heads and shut the tops.

Finally, he did the last step. He put the bodies together and put batteries in them. The androids came to life!

"Yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeesssssssss!!!!!" Keith screamed.

He made them walk to the door out of the lab and back, but when they got to the door, they just walked right out!

"Hey! Come back here!" Keith shouted. The androids didn’t respond to his calls. Something was wrong! "Oh no!"

Keith went after the android and tried to stop them, but to no avail. They wouldn’t listen to their maker. They walked to the door that led to the house and broke it down. Then they carried on. They wouldn’t stop.

Keith could only stand back and watch as his androids went through his house, tearing up everything in their path. The robots searched for a way out and left, but not before destroying the entire house. Keith’s family left their home and went to their secret under ground base.

At the base, Keith began to wonder what went wrong. He got on his computer system and logged on to his computer at his home. He got the information on the data that he imputed into his androids.

Keith turned on the Transmodifier Device and ran the androids, data into it. About a minute later, it came back. Keith read it, in English, and was shocked. The data was set all wrong. The data was set... to destroy.

"Ryan." Keith growled.

Ryan was back at his house, thinking about the surprise his brother was going to get, or had already gotten. Of course, he didn’t know what he had done. He just hoped that Keith would get the surprise of his life.

Ryan thought again. Maybe the androids won’t work. Or maybe, they will blow up. Or maybe, they will destroy Keith’s lab. Or maybe...

Ryan must have drifted to sleep then, because he woke up to the ringing of his phone. He picked it up and asked, "Who is it?"

"Ryan," Keith said, "It’s me, Keith. I know what you did, and I’m going to kill you for it."

"Huh, what are talking about?"

"Don’t play dumb with me, you idiot! You tried to kill me!"

"What?"

"The androids, stupid, the androids! You messed up the system and now the robots are set to destruction!"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I’m sure! Now get your rear-end down to the secret base, pronto!"

"Okay, Okay. Bye."

Ryan went to the base, and met Keith’s fist, head-on.

"Oooooooowwwwww!"

"Serves you right!"

They ran to the computer and Keith told Ryan that he had to help him get the androids. Ryan was forced to agree. They tracked them down.

They all were at the city.

20 were at one of the skyscrapers, tearing it down, piece by piece.

25 had broken into the bank and were burning up all of the money.

35 were headed towards the Empire Hotel.

The last 20 had left the town, heading towards Los Angeles.

Keith and Ryan decided on going after the 35 headed towards the hotel. They got in their Tiger Helis and took off. These Tiger Helis were new and greatly improved ones, and not at all like the old ones that they had had over five years ago.

The brothers flew, not saying a word to each other. They dodged the tall buildings and followed the roads until they reached the hotel. It was hectic. People were screaming and running around. Cars were skidding away, leaving marks on the well-trodden pavement.

The brothers landed on the hotel roof and hopped out of the helicopters. They ran to the door and barged in with Telsa-Zap Grenadier Rifles. They blew up the first android they saw. It was coming out of a room on the 17 floor. The pieces melted under the intense heat of the rifles.

Keith and Ryan found some more, melted their heads off. Finally, they had found out where the last ones were at. They were at the reception desk, eating the keys. They were melted in less than a minute.

Keith went after the androids that were burning up all of the banks money.

Ryan flew after the androids that were destroying the skyscraper with people in it.

Keith landed at the bank, which was surrounded by police officers. He got in with out being noticed.

He ducked through the doorway as four policeman were thrown out. Keith melted of the androids from the door. The rest of them were in the vault.

Some of them had stopped burning the money and were tearing out the back wall.

Keith tip-toed to the vault as quietly as possible and looked in at the androids. He melted 16 of them. Keith did a quick count. "16 and 8 is 24, so, there’s another one still in here." he searched around but couldn’t find it.

He heard a shuffle behind him. Keith’s gun had melted it before Keith knew what happened.

Ryan flew between the buildings as low as possible, trying to show off his flying skills. He got to the skyscraper in only 10 minutes.

Ryan landed and raced to the front doors. He barged into blackness.

After putting on his night vision goggles, he walked around and saw 18 of the killer androids. The were trying to tear down the walls. Ryan melted them all with one shot.

He made his way upstairs, and turned on his tracker. He studied it, and found out that the androids were on the 75^th floor. He went up to it on his Power Pad Boot Boosters. The androids were smashing up all of the windows. Ryan killed them and went back to his plane.

The two brothers contacted each other and they met up at the androids leaving town.

It was easy to destroy them. All they had to do was blow them to pieces with X-62 missiles.

When they got home, Ryan spoke with Keith.

"Keith?"

"Yeah?"

"I, I’m sorry. I ‘m sorry I tried to destroy all of your plans and kill you. I know that it was just a joke when you sent the androids after me. I, I would like to ask if you would forgive me for being so cruel and mean to you."

"Well, Okay."

Ryan and Keith hugged each other, and smiled.

The next day, Ryan paid for of the damage he had caused, and repaired Keith’s house, making it twice as big as before.

Ryan and Keith became best brothers again, and didn’t play jokes on each other any more.
