He used to take cadavers from the morgue, mutilate them, then claim the life insurance money.
Holmes built a House of Horrors to accomodate everyone, some never even left..
He was being tracked down for fraud when the police discovered he was a murderer.
Mr. Holmes' House of Horrors was inspected after his death, and the detectives found bones for 300+ people in the basement.
