Gel Candles are beautiful to have but please be responsible when buring your candles.
Gel is a combination of mineral oil and resin and has a high level of safety relative to the flashpoint.
Remove and discard all packaging before lighting any candle.
Place on a protected, heat-resistant, dry surface, away from anything that can catch on fire.
Do Not burn candle more than 2 hours at a time.
After initial burn - Keep wick trimmed to about 1/16 inch to prevent smoking. If your candle is smoking, blow out the candle, let cool, trim the wick and relight.
Trimming tip: The best way to trim the wicks is to make sure candle is completely cooled, then turn upside down over the trash & use a large pair of nail clippers. This way you can clip the wick close to the gel and remove it all at once without dropping flammable debris back into the candle.
Keep candles out of drafts to ensure an even burn and to prevent smoking.
If the wick is off-center, simply move the extinguished wick to the center with a metal spoon handle while the gel is still soft but not liquid. Do not use your fingers to try to pull a wick up in hot gel.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Never burn candles without adult supervision.
Never leave a burning candle around children.
Never leave a burning candle near flamable items.
Never move your candles once lit.
Never leave your candle in a drafty area.
Never leave your candle lit around pets.
