Open daily 6:00 am to sunset. For your safety, walk only during daylight hours.

Award and Fees

$3.00 for both AVA/IVV credit participant and non-credit participant.
Children 12 and under walk free, unless they have AVA/IVV credit books, and must be accompanied by an adult.

Trail Description

Rated 1+. Mostly sidewalks and hard-packed sand beach. Some beach approaches are soft sand and therefore not suitable for wheelchairs.

History

Ormond Beach has been a haven for vacationers for over 100 years. Settled in 1873 as a health resort attracting millionaires such as John D. Rockefeller, Sr. Automobile racing on the beach started in 1902.

The Casements - The former winter home of John D. Rockefeller is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens - Founded in 1946 as a War Memorial, the Museum now is home to a collection of paintings by Malcolm Fraser and changing monthly art exhibits in all media. Located on four acres of lush tropical gardens with native Florida plants, the Museum is an oasis in busy downtown Ormond Beach

Directions

From I-95, exit 268 (old exit 88) Route 40 (Granada Blvd). Go east and cross US 1 to Beach St. Turn right on South Beach St. Park on left side at the Granada Pier.
