Into this world we are born

no place in which we are sworn.

Wondering how things came to be

and often thinking, "Why me?!"

 

Our parents bring us here on their own,

some as a result of being alone.

Humans thrive,

while most other species only seem to die.

 

Through early life we are led,

but who is to know what happens in our heads.

Some waste this precious time

and others yearn to finish their lives.

 

Fairy tales are oh so untrue,

probably because that's what your parents told you.

Life will never be as you want

only because all you do is want.
