Keep both arms in your shirt

By CJ Henley

On several campuses I have seen people walking around with their shirts on in a strange way. With an undershirt on, they put on another shirt but only put one arm through one sleeve and their neck through the appropriate hole.

I will be the first to admit that I have fallen victim to fads. In the past I have had some pretty bad haircuts and dressed in some strange clothes. I have spent a lot of money on fads also. I may not be cool at all, but the cool factor is certainly not related to how far my clothes make it on my body.

I thought that wearing clothes backwards was dumb. I would imagine that most people would agree that the fad brought to us by Kris Kross [was] just about as bad as it gets. But just when you thought that it was safe someone comes up with another ridiculous fad.

I have the unexplainable urge to just reach out and slap these people who wear their shirts like this. I wonder if

they think they are cool or are cooler because of their half on half off shirts.

I’m sure that MTV is the culprit, some musician some place said, “What stupid trend can I start this week?” and poof! Everyone looks as if they forgot to put their clothes on all the way. The person who is responsible for this is misguided and so are those who are following the trend.

Perhaps the people who start these trends are not stupid. Maybe they are at home rolling on the ground in laughter because their joke was a success. People all around the US are half dressed and they have confirmed that America’s MTV kids are dumber than they initially hypothesized.

I know I that I am not perfect and my shorts, plain t-shirt, and sneakers may not make me look like Justin Timberlake, but I am who I am and I refuse to make myself look like an imbecile because Carson Daily says it’s the thing to do.
