GAME 5: Ottawa Starts a Long Summer for Flyers

The Senators eliminated the Flyers for the year in Friday night's 2-1 overtime victory for the Senators. However the Flyers did manage to score a regulation goal against Patrick Lalime. The Senators answered right back with 2 goals, one of which the game-winner in overtime, though.

Dan McGillis scored for the Flyers on a power play just about 5 minutes into the 1st period. Alfredsson also scored in the first period and Martin Havlat, 7:33 into overtime. Boucher saved 25 of 27 shots and Lalime saved 25 of 26.

Unfortunatley, a season (for the Flyers) which was greatly anticipated with high expectations and disappointingly, those expections fell short. Hopefully, next season will be better and the positives will be thrived upon.

"I am disappointed. I think everyone is. Expectations have been so high since training camp. I think that disappointment would be the word for everyone, from our players right on up," said Coach Bill Barber.
