Since this page was last updated many exciting and interesting things have happened. This past Summer we had the pleasure of having Mike Conrad, a student from Hamden-Sidney College, come on as our interim youth pastor. While here, the youth had the opportunity to take part in a some youth events, including the National Youth Convention/Fine Arts Festival in our nations capitol Washington, DC.

Since then our little town got the brunt of Hurricane Isabel on September 18. We are still recovering. But one of the victims of the terrible storm was our Chowan Teen Center. The 105 mph winds blew the tin off the roof and subsequently the rain flooded the inside. As of now there is no plans to reopen. Please pray for the doors to open on either a new location or the funds to renovate the existing facilites.
