On Saturday, March 22nd three youth from Chowan County had the opportunity to compete in the NC District Fine Arts Festival in Raleigh, NC. Asheton Rivenbark, Justin Skittlethorpe, and Nick Crawley, (all members of Solid Rock Youth at First Assembly of God) put their best foot forward Saturday as they displayed their gifts and talents in front of other youth from around NC.

Justin Skittlethorpe, who is well known in Chowan County as the lead singer and cofounder of the Christian Rock Band "One Hour Penny" entered the songwriting category. His song "Your Blood Flows" ended up taking the top spot with a "Superior with Invitation" rating.
