Tigers’ Lair Huge Success at Grey Cup!

The Tigers’ Lair and the fans of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats did themselves proud at the Grey Cup in Edmonton.

Opening on Friday evening at 4:00 at Inn on 7th, Hamilton Hospitality was abounding.  TC opened the room with a grand entrance and greeted a line-up of the curious to see what the “buzz” was all about!

BJ the DJ kicked off the dancing at 7:00 p.m. and the dance floor was packed all night long.  There was a lot to see and do in the room too with a raffle contest and Tiger-Cat merchandise to browse.  The Trivia Challenge was successful with 60 competitors competing in a qualifier for their chance at the big prizes on Saturday night.

Friday night saw the Grey Cup make its appearance twice throughout the night and Ozzie, Danny Mac, Rob Hitchcock, Andrew Grigg, Dana Seguin and the Great Angelo Mosco were all on hand to greet the fans.  Mike Morealle dropped in too.  Much to the pleasant surprise of the organizers, there was a line-up of fans to get into the Hamilton hospitality suite!

Saturday saw the Tigers’ Lair, along with the Box J Boys and the Fans of Canadian Football participate in the Grey Cup parade.  As we wound our way through downtown Edmonton, we were greeted warmly by the citizens and “Oskee Wee Wee’d” ourselves for blocks and blocks.

Saturday evening once again saw a full house as Angelo Mosco hosted the CFL Trivia Challenge.  Three competitors answered various skill testing questions to get the first touchdown and claim the prizes!

Outgoing Acting CFL Commissioner David Braley dropped in with Cat owners George Grant and David Macdonald and mingled with the fans.  Local Hamilton media were also on hand to enjoy the camaraderie!

All in all the Tigers’ Lair Hamilton Hospitality was a HUGE success and we look forward to all of our events this coming season.  Be sure to check out our webpage at www.tigerslair.ca for updates!
